چکیده

Purpose Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) has an elusive diagnosis and etiology. Treatment focuses on alleviation of symptoms and improving a patient’s quality of life. The primary objective was to observe and record changes in a subject’s health related quality of life (HRQoL), using the SF 36Item Health Survey (SF-36), before and six months after a National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) atlas correction. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to observe changes in a subject’s sleep quality.

High-frequency rTMS for the Treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Case Series

Structural and functional abnormalities of the prefrontal cortex seem to correlate with fatigue in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). We consecutively applied facilitatory high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) of seven CFS patients over three days. Five patients completed the 3-day protocol without any adverse...

Can pacing self-management alter physical behavior and symptom severity in chronic fatigue syndrome? A case series.

We performed an observational study of pacing self-management in seven CFS patients using a single-case study design. Stages A1 and A2 (7-day a...
